Ventia supports the state’s energy and water resources and uses asset management capabilities to provide infrastructure maintenance in major cities as well as regional Queensland. Our contribution to the mobile blackspots program and the nbn rollout enabled us to connect communities, including the islands in Moreton Bay off the Brisbane coast, communities such as Stanthorpe in the granite belt, and remote areas of North Queensland.
Our Energy Queensland Ltd. contract takes us from Brisbane to the ‘Cape’, servicing more than 1.7 million square kilometres with a broad range of facilities and property management services. These include building maintenance and construction, property management, cleaning, grounds maintenance, security services and vehicle fleet administration at sites across Queensland.
Ventia builds, operates and maintains water and sewerage assets for several customers in Queensland, including Urban Utilities and Port of Brisbane. Our water sector construction capability covers the spectrum of capital works from new water and wastewater treatment plants to minor network augmentation and renewals. We provide programmed, planned and responsive maintenance across the Brisbane, Ipswich, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley and Somerset local government areas. We support our customers in the provision of safe and reliable water and sewerage services for over 1.5 million Queenslanders.
We also provide incident management and road maintenance across the state for the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing, the Gateway and Logan motorways, and through our South-East Queensland Road Asset Management Contract. Our team manage the Brisbane Airport Rail Link on a 35-year maintenance contract. This mission critical piece of infrastructure interfaces with Queensland Rail and the Brisbane Domestic and International Airport, Importantly, recently achieved 10-years lost time injury free.
As well as supporting hundreds of kilometres of roads, we’re recognised for our road safety practices, launching a road worker awareness campaign aimed at young drivers. Queensland youth and local communities’ benefit from our maintenance program at seven public schools in southeast Queensland, and we have partnered with Toowoomba Regional Council, the Queensland Department of Education and local Indigenous-owned businesses to deliver a project under the Government’s Learning Circles program. Through this program, Indigenous students are supported to explore leadership, and to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to enjoy and achieve success.
Our specialist drilling, well servicing and remote camp management business, Rig & Well services, provide services to several resources and industrial clients in Queensland, including Santos and Senex Energy. The team also playing an active role in championing reconciliation and supporting local communities through its community grants program.
