Ventia designed and constructed the 1,800km Reef Network that stretches from Brisbane to Cairns, enabling fast broadband to northern and regional Queensland.
As part of this project, Ventia also undertook the design, construction and maintenance of all the laterals built to access the network.
The Reef Network was, at the time, Australia's first privately owned optic fibre network and provides telecommunication facilities to Queensland's regional centres along the coast. The ongoing operations and maintenance continues with Optus as the owner of this asset.
Ventia also performs ongoing operations and maintenance repair services and proactive and reactive cable maintenance.
