Description

Ventia provide distribution, maintenance and construction services across the Energy Queensland electricity transmission and distribution network in regional and metropolitan Queensland. 

Our energy networks team provide construction and maintenance on overhead and underground low and high voltage networks, design work, underground cable jointing and pre-commissioning testing. 

Ventia has been delivering construction and maintenance services to Energy QLD (Ergon Energy and Energex) since 2004. The longevity of our relationship is reflective of a collaborative and outcome focussed partnership. 

Our services included: 

• Installation, testing and connection of underground and 

overhead distribution lines, hardware, cables and switchgear; and maintenance and 

upgrading of this equipment 

• Construction and maintenance of HV and LV overhead 

powerlines 

• Routine maintenance and upgrading of overhead distribution 

systems 

• Live-line works G&B 

• Pole and cross-arm replacement 

• Customer-funded powerline extensions 

• HV and LV underground cabling 

• Bulk Lamp Replacement Program 

• Design services 

• Inspection services.

Ventia also provide sub-transmission maintenance and emergency response services.

Scope of work

• Construction and maintenance of EQL distribution and transmission networks
• Construction and maintenance of EQL substation infrastructure
• Streetlight maintenance works, and
• Consultancy services, mainly consisting of design.
