Ventia has been awarded the Asset Management Services contract for the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Tunnel by Transport for NSW (Transport).
The base contract is an initial fifteen-year term with two ten-year extension options. The base contract is expected to generate approximately $450 million in revenue for Ventia.
Under the contract, Ventia will provide asset management, operations and maintenance services across both tunnels. The contract will commence in early April 2022.
Ventia will work with Transport to facilitate an effective transition of existing operations of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, before operational commencement from 1 September 2022.
For the Western Harbour Tunnel, Ventia will provide a range of services during the procurement, design and construction phases. These services include whole of life design review, lifecycle cost modelling, and recommendations on reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability of the asset. Ventia will commence asset management, operations and maintenance services on the Western Harbour Tunnel following its completion.
